Sunshine Acres Fresh Air Home |

The land was purchased in 1918 by The Baptist Young Peoples Union of Brooklyn and used as a Fresh Air Home, or as we would call it today a Summer Camp, named Sunshine Acres. The children would come out from the city in groups for two weeks at a time. |

Formerly the home of Dr. Darling B. Whitney for much of the 1800s the house became the main administration building for the camp. |
