Commack Corners C.1910. Wm. Mahlers hotel and Otten's store were on the corners. Ketchams candy and cigar shop, then Hallock's Dry Goods is on hill. |

The General Store was built by Joseph Whitman in c.1672 . In the background is the Methodist Church Parsonage built in 1895. |

Herbert J. Harned owned the store until 1900 then the Otten's took over. Before this Miami Otten handled the mail at their house nearby. |

The first hotel was built in 1770 and burned down in 1895. Wm. Mahler built this one around 1900. Then Gordans the owned it for many years. |
