| Seven Gables Garage - The Grafs came here in the mid 1920's and by 1931 Clarence had built a gas station on the side of his mothers house. Harned Family - The Harneds have lived here since the late 1700's and once owned large farms in the Winnecomac area. Saw Mill - Begun as a side job by Amos Harned in 1938 the mill continues today and is the last on the island. The Johnson's - The family came here in 1901 from Scandinavia and built a house and farm on Larkfield Road. The Hubbs - One of Commack's earliest families the Hubbs had many farms on Jericho's south side. Camp Bishop McDonnell - This was a summer camp for inner city children to attend. The camp was run by The Society of St. Vincent De Paul from 1927-1980. |
