| Starting in New Jersey as The Americans they played one season there 1967-68 and moved to Long Island changing their name to the New York Nets. For the most part turnouts were low as the team struggled to get good players. New owners and new coaches saw the team leave Commack in 1969 for the Island Garden in Hempstead. | ||||||||||||
