The Grafs
The Grafs are best remembered for their little brick cottage house gas station on Jericho Turnpike where the Gulf station is today.
Mrs. Graf turned the front porch into a rest stop for motorists traveling to and from the Hamptons.
Clarence Graf began repairing cars behind the house and called it the Apple Tree Garage then later added some gas pumps on the side and sold gas.
When Clarence and Clara Graf were married he built the Seven Gables Garage with the help of his brothers next to his mothers house on Jericho Turnpike.
Soon after getting his new tow truck Clarence received a call from Marion Carll that one of her cows had fallen in the cistern and was stuck there.
