The Grafs are best remembered for their little brick cottage house gas station on Jericho Turnpike where the Gulf station is today. |

Mrs. Graf turned the front porch into a rest stop for motorists traveling to and from the Hamptons. |

Clarence Graf began repairing cars behind the house and called it the Apple Tree Garage then later added some gas pumps on the side and sold gas. |

When Clarence and Clara Graf were married he built the Seven Gables Garage with the help of his brothers next to his mothers house on Jericho Turnpike. |
